Amier F. Alawadhi

Amier Al Awadhi is the Director of Masdar City Free Zone, engaging and providing business opportunities and investments in the capital of the UAE. He brings more than 20 years of experience in business development and relationship management to the Free Zone. He has in-depth knowledge of international business research, sales and marketing, franchising, strategy, project management, financial management and real estate and company development. Currently, he is pioneering ways to attract companies, ranging from start-ups to multinationals, and encourage them to establish their business at Masdar City Free Zone. He has successfully managed to increase the Free Zone's business portfolio to over 1100 companies, including Siemens, Honeywell and Lockheed Martin. Before joining Masdar, Amier played key roles in several prominent organizations. He led the establishment of Abu Dhabi National Properties (ADNP), National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD)'s real estate arm, as Deputy General Manager and Vice President. Prior to that, he worked with Dubai World, where he headed special projects at Dubai Maritime City and led the sales division at Nakheel. He also managed the SME department as Franchising Manager at Dubai Development Investment Authority and served as Relationship Manager Elite at HSBC. Amier's academic background further complements his professional achievements. He holds a Master's degree in Digital Communication and Marketing from Sorbonne University in Paris, France. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree specializing in International Business Management from the University of New Hampshire, USA.
