Responsible for the Risk Governance of Commercial Banking globally including the management of Global Risk Management Committee and oversight of regional committees. Responsible for the delivery of: - Risk Data Programme and delivery on all BCBS data requirements and Risk MI - Commercial Banking Risk blueprints and HR plan, - Risk budget, planning and operations, - Risk communication plan for Commercial Bank.

Part of a small team responsible for the establishment of a new in-business global risk function. Working closely with the Risk Management Committee, responsible for the development of a globally consistent risk governance framework and implementation in 5 regions. Development of the risk appetite, risk management processes and MI covering all risk areas (credit, operational, financial crime and regulatory compliance, etc.). Oversee the development of the risk framework at regional level.

Responsible for the risk appetite, ICAAP and statistical provision for Asia Pacific operation of HSBC Risk strategy country manager for multiple countries including Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Korea and subsidies such as Hang Seng Bank. Responsible for the overseeing the Risk Strategy activities including Risk Appetite development, stress testing, risk governance, local regulator engagement and Basel II A-IRB implementation.
