I interned as a Dental Assistant at Mappes Orthodontics. During my internship I helped out by sterilizing all chairs and tools used during the day. I constantly kept tools, brackets, impression materials and gloves well stocked so they'd be ready for quick use.

* I worked at Dr.John Primm's Dental office as a Dental Assistant. I was responsible for: * Sterilization * Getting medical history and vital signs * Suctioning * 3 way syringe * Retraction * Instrument Transfer * Assisting in administering anesthesia, assembling needle * Adjusting lighting * Charting * Placing rubber dams * Mixing cements * Taking X-rays(Panorex, Bitewings, Periapical) * Using a manual processor * Teaching proper Oral Health * Taking Impressions * Pouring Models * Trimming models * Making bleaching trays and retainers * Mixing Amalgam and loading it into the amalgam carrier * Mixing Composite and passing it ready to place * Making temporary crowns and bridges * Scheduling patients appointments

Activities and Societies: We didn't have any clubs or teams, but we would get together outside of school and study together. Also I would get together with people from other classes such as I.T., HVAC and Automotive to discuss school and help each other. We had a school wide softball game to raise money for breast cancer. We also held a few fundraisers at school where we'd bring in food and take turns serving and selling food to raise money for members of the school going through hardships.
