Other tasks assigned during this role were Health and safety inspections, Food safety inspections, Health Promotion, Accessing public housing, Auditing HACCP based systems, Investigating Food complaints, Injury Investigation, Carrying out Risk assessments, Dealing with noise complaints and environmental noise, Measuring and interpreting air quality data, Investigating Environmental pollution and contaminated land issues. Port health inspections. Producing both technical and non technical reports.

Conducting Chemical and Biological analysis on river water and effluent runoff samples. Reporting results. Use of specialist database software.

Producing tray meals on a regular basis but also working all the different processes in the factory when required. Organising and training new members of staff in certain areas. Contributing to the developement of the tray meals section which is a relatively new venture for the company. Ensuring the highest standards of health and safety and food safety were met at all times. Documenting all work carried out and providing feedback to the management team on a daily basis to continually develop and improve the products and the efficiency of the business.

Tasked with auditing fifteen outlets on a monthly basis and ensuring they achieve the highest standards of performance in food safety and health and safety along with other key business areas. These outlets ranged from pubs, nightclubs, hotels and off licences. I worked proactively within the company to ensure these areas were not compromised. Main duties involved food safety training, inspecting and auditing of food business for food safety and suitability. I was committed towards monitoring and improving standards and aim to achieve excellence in all fifteen outlets of Botanic Inns Ltd. This also included implementing the health and safety policy, drafting risk assessments, investigating accidents and other similar tasks, reporting areas of concern to general managers and the managing director after every audit. Sourcing information and resources and liasing with the general managers to compile realistic action lists to rectify problem areas.
