• Sourced materials for up to 30 concurrent NPI projects with quick turnaround time to meet aggressive schedules • Communicated and established good relations with domestic and international vendors, distributors, and brokers to receive quotes, request samples, and place purchase requisitions and orders • Expedited shipments, ensured timely arrival of materials, and tracked received parts for allocation to project kits • Performed BOM comparisons to see newly added or deleted parts and changes in quantities per board • Improved buyer efficiency by designing a user-friendly template for sample requests • Acted as the main point of contact between our company and our end customer for all projects I managed • Ensured material date codes fulfilled strict requirements and brought obsolete/EOL parts to customer’s attention • Compared prices from different sources, kept a close eye on cost, and submitted budget increase requests • Reviewed the customer’s build matrix to ensure accuracy regarding BOM deviations, build details, and alternate parts • Cross-checked and settled any discrepancies in build configurations, Receiving Log, and invoices • Confirmed PCB and component revisions/OTPs between builds, quarantining old or incorrect materials • Monitored part attrition and prepared additional material as needed with demand forecasting
