* I work in the Revenue and Taxation unit at the Department of Finance, which advises the Governor on fiscal policy issues related to taxation. My area of focus is excise taxation. * Develop quantitative models in Excel to forecast and estimate State government revenue. * Review, analyze, and make recommendations on legislation relating to excise tax, personal income tax, sales tax, and corporate tax. * Track revenue and cash flows, and create monthly finance bulletins for publication on the DOF website. * Collaborate with other intra- and extra-departmental units and Capitol Office staff on specific policy issues. * Perform continuous research on economic trends and law changes in the field of taxation.
