As a Engagement Manager Technology Practice at ABC Consultants I am currently working for IT services and startup clients, overseeing lateral hiring for a variety of functional, non-IT roles, including HR, finance, legal, strategy, sales, marketing, and investigations. A key focus of my role is diversity hiring, which comprises 80% of my responsibilities, ensuring the recruitment process promotes inclusivity and attracts a diverse range of talent across these functions.

As an individual contributor, I have managed end-to-end recruitment for product-based startups, Global Capability Centers (GCCs), and private equity clients. My experience includes successfully recruiting candidates for very early-stage startups and handling niche and leadership mandates. I was hired to build and lead the Permanent Recruitment team from scratch, managing recruitment across diverse sectors including banking, FMCG, retail, manufacturing, and the power industry. My role also involved driving business development efforts, both through acquiring new clients and cross-selling recruitment services to existing clients, ensuring sustained growth and diversification of the business.

I began as an individual contributor and, within six months, was promoted to Team Leader. In this role, I managed to grow Big4 vertical and CA firm from zero and manage clients from BPO/KPO. My responsibilities also included overseeing finance, audit, tax, and other functional mandates for clients across sectors such as shipping, manufacturing, and healthcare. I also led a team across multiple locations, including Mumbai, Pune, and Chennai, ensuring smooth collaboration and successful recruitment outcomes across these regions.

I started my career as a Recruitment Consultant, specializing in lateral hiring for Big 4 firms and KPO/BPO sectors. My primary focus was on CA (Chartered Accountant) hiring, where I successfully recruited top talent for critical finance and audit roles, laying the foundation for my expertise in managing specialized and high-demand recruitment processes.
