Amanda Northrop was a vice president at the State Street Foundation, the grantmaking arm of State Street Corporation. She led a multi-million dollar strategic grantmaking program in the company’s headquarters region of Massachusetts and supported the Foundation’s global programs. As part of her role Amanda identified community needs, built relationships with nonprofit partners and directed State Street’s community investment activities to the most effective programs. During her time at State Street she transitioned the MA grant portfolio to a targeted focus on education and employment outcomes for disadvantaged populations. Amanda also helped launch and lead Boston WINs, a 6-year $26 million initiative to enhance college and career readiness for Boston youth. She was part of the team responsible for leading the company’s Corporate Responsibility work and contributed to managing the bank’s Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) obligations.
