About

Passionate about grassland stewardship and conservation, with an interest in providing ecological tools and strategies for long-term sustainable land management. I have a broad background in the natural resource sector, with experience in grassland and rangeland management, forestry, and wildlife management. I have specialized in grassland and rangeland ecology and public land policy in BC and Alberta with familiarity in land use and resource issues in both provinces. Grassland and rangeland management encompasses many ecological aspects, from water quality to wildlife, allowing for ecosystem level management enabled by working with rangelands. I am skilled in plant identification, ecosystem classification, rangeland management and improvement techniques, as well as policy development and implementation. I am also skilled in data analysis and interpretation, with on the job and academic experience. I have extensive experience leading field workshops and teaching in a classroom and am passionate about extension and outreach. I am Professional Agrologist with the British Columbia Institute of Agrologists, and a member in good standing with the Society for Range Management, serving as Past President on the BC Chapter of the Pacific Northwest Section.
