As a first point of contact for new orders, I offer guidance, recommendations, and yes, even a good story when you need one. My goal is to help you navigate the bumps, simplify the complex, and create a seamless closing experience for your business and your clients.

I started at Lawyers Title with the intention to establish a local Collin County client base while maintaining my longstanding national clients. However; my national accounts grew so large I created a new national division within the company and managed a team to accommodate every aspect of a real estate transaction. I have been regularly opening over 100 orders each month and closing between 75 and 100 transactions. My personal best was 146 closings in March 2013.

I started my own business to perform all title aspects of a real estate transaction. Search county records for land ownership, liens, encumbrances, conditions, covenants, restrictions, easements and taxes. All work would be organized and handed over to title companies in order to create title commitments and begin the curative process. I familiarized myself with the software for 7 counties in order to expand the coverage area. I dissolved the business when I moved to Texas.

Research and certify ownership of real estate before it is bought, sold or refinanced by searching state and county public records for the property and persons involved in a transaction. Prepare a Commitment for Title Insurance, perform curative services to ensure a clear title is held, or transferred, in all transactions. Facilitate the closing process by assembling documents, reviewing papers with the parties, explain procedures, answer questions and check documents for accuracy and obtain signatures. Finalize the process by recording documents, disbursing funds to the appropriate parties and issuing the title policy.

Responsible for leading a team of 8 in order to examine Mortgages/Deeds of Trust, liens, judgments, easements, maps and contracts affecting title to given properties. The department analyzed encumbrances and statutes to revise commitments and make any requirements necessary to ensure a clear title is held at the time of issuing the title policy. Any questions regarding estates, bankruptcies and compliance was facilitated through my team and utilized by all departments within Lenders First Choice.
