Greenacre Homes & School, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, operates five residential treatment facilities, a non-public school, a vocational training school and a transitional program from ages 8 to 22. Our group homes are licensed through the California Department of Social Services and vendorized through the North Bay Regional Center. Our school is certified through the California Department of Education. Referrals are accepted from the Department of Social Services (RCL-10), Child Protective Services, School Districts, Mental Health, County Probation, Aid to Adoptions and Regional Centers (4A and 4B). My position provides a stable, loving, and comfortable environment in a group home setting for emotionally disturbed and/or developmentally delayed boys. I supervise at risk clients, dispense psychiatric medications, interact in a positive manor implementing life skills and anger management, follow a behavioral plan provided by a social worker, and a health care plan provided by a nutritionist and psychiatrist. www.greenacrehomes.org

* My position was to help coordinate educational classes for the elderly, 50 * who were looking to continue challenging their mental capacity. My position entailed setting up the classes for 100 * students, student/instructor evaluations, student services, registration, and head of the volunteer staff.

Medical Social Work Extern in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM & R) Department at UCDavis Medical Center. Job duties include carrying a patient load and working in an inter-professional team to develop a safe patient discharge plan. As a PM & R Medical Social Work Extern, duties include providing support, education, and resources to patient and families adapting to illness, injuries, and changes in function.

The California Health Collaborative’s Multipurpose Senior Services Program, is a non-profit community-based program that provides case management services to the frail and low-income seniors. MSSP strives to keep seniors safely at home for as long as possible.The California Health Collaborative changes lives by improving health and wellness. The Collaborative is committed to empowering Californians to achieve optimal health and thereby improving their quality of life. This is accomplished by serving the needs of individuals with limited access to healthcare resources and who most often confront barriers related to culture, language, immigration status, income, gender, geography, and/or education.

In a Humanistic, Transpersonal, and Existential Psychology Course, as a Teaching Assistant, I facilitated confidential small group discussions and provided curriculum support and guidance.

My position entails overseeing all campus wide events, while providing customer service for students, staff, and visitors.

* I support the on-site facilitator by leading activities, planning the agenda, and having fun while engaging with the girls-all in conjunction with the curriculum. The facilitator provides monthly updates on ideas for planning, and engaging the group with different activities. I implement my own ideas and creativity and approach my facilitator with a plan. * My primary role as circle mentor is to help the facilitator in leading a Circle of Sisters group of 10-15 girls. * At Risk Girls Mentor: * Coordinate snack and daily supplies before girls arrive * Assist with homework help when necessary * Encourage girls to participate in daily activities * Help teach life skills and help set positive goals * Communicate weekly with Mentor Facilitator * Provide a positive and meaningful environment for participants

* Residential Counselor Shift Supervisors (RCSS) supervise Residential Counselors (RC) and general program activities * provides for the care, supervision, observation, and protection of clients * responsible for implementing defined treatment plans and planned activities in collaboration with clinical team * participates in staff treatment planning sessions * schedules work and activity assignments for RCs * completes various logs and reports * dispenses medication to clients * performs minor first aid when necessary * performs liaison functions with authorized representatives and community residents, school personnel, and law enforcement. Residential Counselor (RC) work involves extensive interaction with and direct supervision of adolescent/teenage girls identified as Emotionally Disturbed (ED) living in a therapeutic residential care environment.

Activities and Societies: I have been honored to be apart of the Alpha Gamma Delta organization and to be able to participate in philanthropies to raise money and awareness to diabetes research and education. As a student on the Dean's list for the Psychology Department, I am also an active member in the high honors of the Psi Chi Club for the Psychology Department.
