Alyssa Johnson

As an assistant manager I am responsible for the overall performance of our team, which can be anywhere from 12-15 associates at one time. This includes coaching, motivating and helping with performance evaluations in order to ensure goals are continually met and that we have the best team in place in order to be successful. With that, I am also involved in all the HR aspects of our store which includes recruiting, interviewing, hiring, reference checks, new hire paperwork, orientation, training, scheduling, employee relations and development. Being an assistant manager I am also involved in the visual and marketing of our store. This includes setting new sales, updating store front windows, updating marketing, changing mannequins, processing new products, placing new product and keeping up with the overall visual appeal of the store. Outside of our store I have been involved in helping with new store set up, remodeled store set up, and stepping in as a store manager and assistant manger to stores who needed help.

Working in sales I was involved in reworking an entire customer database, answering phones and also stepped in for the owners to do payroll, accounts receivable and payable while they took a leave. I also shadowed an employee who did sales and marketing in order to gain knowledge and skills.
