- Developed, implemented, and maintains a quality management system registered to AS9100 including ISO 9001 in the United States and Mexico. - Trends quality management system data and presents to senior leadership to assess the health of the system and to drive continuous improvement efforts. - Works with all departments regularly to ensure that the quality management system is meeting the needs of all parties as we grow the business. - Interfaces with customers for new business and business development efforts as well as program specific requirements. - Performs contract review to ensure contractual flow downs are reasonable and achievable, risks are assessed and mitigated as required, and requirements are flowed throughout the program including to suppliers and their sub-tiers. - Generates, reviews, and/or assists with quality assurance plans to communicate all requirements to the program team so that we can provide quality products on-time to customers. - Generates, reviews, and/or provides end item data packs including first article inspections in accordance with AS9102 to customers. - Identifies, contains, corrects, and dispositions discrepancies found throughout the supply chain. Performs root cause analysis using various tools (e.g. Ishikawa Diagram, 5 Why’s) and corrective action including effectivity follow-up using objective evidence to prevent recurrence. Performs all activities with the mindset of improving the business to support growth. - Manages and assists a team of engineers and inspectors to output quality product on-time per customer requirements. - Manually inspects products using calipers, micrometers, height gages, granites, countersink gages, radius gages, pin gage sets, etc.

- Wrote work instructions, travelers, process specifications, quality assurance plans, and other program specific documentation in accordance with customer and Rock West Composites’ requirements. - Performed drawing interpretation for planning and program execution. - Adhered to budget, cost, and schedule as laid out by the Program Manager and provided regular updates regarding manufacturing engineering responsibilities to the team. - Performed procurement activities to acquire program required products, services, and processes in accordance with customer and Rock West Composites’ requirements. - Fabricated composite hardware (details and assemblies) using methods such as wet layup, infusion, and prepreg layup (e.g. out of autoclave cure, compression molding, co-cured structures such as sandwich panels). - Interfaced with customers for new business and business development efforts as well as program specific requirements.
