On a mission to build a student-friendly culture & community with aspiring individuals through tech education at 42 Malaysia's 2nd campus that’s located in Johor, a tuition-free programming school. 42 Malaysia is a joint collaboration between Sunway Education Group, Khazanah Nasional Berhad and Jeffrey Cheah Foundation, operated by Sunway iLabs.

I wore many hats working here, bringing me up more than just an employee. Sure, I prepared marketing materials for the company and CSR programme for my organisation, yet what I gained was creativity and new connections. With experience doing stakeholder engagement for private, government and NGO, I communicated and understood the needs of each entity. Leading the CSR programme for my organisation as a Library Manager has brought me to plan and manage volunteerism for the CSR programme. In addition, I managed the SDG and ESG initiatives for the organisation too.

My first working experience was where I went through what it's like in the face-to-face and online working worlds the moment the pandemic hits. Managed Tapio's social media accounts and their internship programme website (Malaysia Internship). Collaborated with Tapio's subsidiary, Black Suit Media (BSM), an event group specialising in covering corporate events. Managed BSM's social media accounts and developed content before launching BSM's first website. Work together in an event with media and business teams under Tapio, covering for the Asian Premiere Concert organised by Showtime Studio in Experimental Theatre Aswara.

I really went out of my comfort zone here when I buck up and joined a club with a majority of Chinese members while I'm the only non-Mandarin speaker on the committee. I learned that finding different methods of communication is important in order for us to get the ball rolling. As a secretary, I was responsible for booking meeting rooms for every time we have discussions, taking minutes during meetings, and other administrative tasks. Apart from that, I got to join a big-scale event arranged by our club where we held a Wushu competition at AEON Nilai during our semester break. I was a part of the Welfare team where we ensure our Wushu participants are provided with food and beverages. Teamwork was really important during this one term I was in this club. Despite the language differences, we understood each other and help one another.

I get to write press releases & promo pieces for the event with the purpose of communicating and inspiring individuals to empower youths and inspire future leaders of tomorrow.

Created and executed event protocol procedures for team members during the event, ensuring our team, as well as participants, respect the invited guests and each other during the sharing sessions.
