My current research in the Sun Lab involves novel chemistries and finding ways to utilize new materials for combined therapeutic and diagnostic applications. As a part of this work, I maintain the cell cultures for routine in vitro assays, work with several in vivo models, provide support for post-doctoral researchers, and work on my own individual projects while supervising undergraduate researchers. I am the lab chemical safety officer, as well as, the in vivo coordinator. Specific projects I work on include radiation dose enhancement and radiation sensitization by nanoparticle delivery.
