Allison Pricener

My passion lies in innovative student engagement and strong relationship building with students K-6. In addition my focus in ELA and experience in upper elementary allows me to build student’s reading confidence, comprehension and fluency to ensure their ability to read to learn in their classroom. Sparking a love of reading and making language and literacy concepts relevant through technology to students is where I excel. Providing accessible access points and opportunities for student voice and encouraging students to ask questions and become life long learners is paramount. I strive through my daily lessons and communications with students and parents to build community and support families and students in all areas of need. Diligent assessment and data collection as well as communicating progress to families is prioritized. As well as collaboration with special educators in order to meet students needs while engaging them in the general education classroom with supports in place to provide them access to the curriculum. Through relationships and engagement I believe all students are capable of achieving strong reading skills and a passion for learning that will carry them through their lives.
