Facilitated the series of character development classes each juvenile offender must participate in as part of their restitution agreement. Also voluntarily developed a facilitator’s guide for future facilitators that included tips, lesson plans and example activity sheets.

* Integral team member of North High School’s Prevention & Intervention team. * Manage the Passroom, where In School Intervention (ISI) and After School Intervention (ASI) take place. * Incorporate restorative approaches to disciplinary actions at North while building relationships with students and staff alike. * Initiate cross team communication and collaboration for preventive and supportive assistance for students. * Awarded the Excellence in Team Award from Denver Public Schools for the 2013-2014 school year.

* Taught at Bowie’s Day School that offers a unique and highly individualized learning environment for students who have learning disabilities, or simply thrive in smaller environments. * Tailored curriculum to meet the needs of each of my students, some who have learning disabilities such as dyslexia, Asperger’s and ADHD.

* Successfully bid for Appalachian State to host the 2009 conference. * Selected as a member of the planning committee, where my duties included event planning, booking rooms, and booking entertainment.

* Worked closely with the founder and publisher to ensure annual goals were met. * Drafted sales proposals, participated in business meetings, constructed project agreements, created records and templates using Excel.

Awarded American India Foundation’s 10-month Clinton Fellowship for Service in India. Active team member in the Youth Intervention team within Pravah, a Delhi-based Non-governmental organization (NGO) that promotes active citizenship through a variety of experiential and reflection-based initiatives that guide young people on a journey from Me to We, Self to Society. Anchored Pravah’s annual Music for Harmony (M4H) event, administered Pravah’s Facebook page, facilitated sessions on peace and conflict, navigated youth through Pravah’s hourglass leadership model and participated in training to develop my own design and facilitation skills. Developed two manuals to ensure sustainable business practices: (1) a handover manual for future M4H anchors to understand the processes involved in inspiring youth to become Peace Ambassadors, and (2) an Online Communications manual for cross team reference to help keep Pravah’s online presence growing.

* Expanded my role in the Upward Bound program, engaging in a more active leadership role with greater involvement in the planning process. * Supervised a team of resident assistants and served as the direct link between my staff and program directors. * Coordinated discussions, presentations, activities and service projects for the summer scholars.

* Served as a representative for AS∙U∙GO, a global engagement program, which was developed through Appalachian State University’s Office of International Education and Development. * Partnered with study-abroad students from India to develop presentations for local elementary schools to present students with an engaging and educational introduction to Indian life and culture.

* Worked as a coordinator and mentor for SAGE, a program funded through the U.S. Department of Education’s TRIO Programs to provide academic support and college preparatory assistance for high school students who meet federal income guidelines or are first-generation college students. * Developed portfolio projects, coordinated recreational activities and mentored participants.

* Responsible for coordinating the annual Gandhi-King Conference on Peacemaking – the Mid-South’s largest conference on non-violence. * Researched and secured conference workshop speakers and business sponsors. * Performed administrative tasks, including participation in Steering Committee meetings.
