Agricultural Investor and Development Actor (AIDA) was a collaboration between Danish Institute for International Studies (DIS)- Denmark and researchers from Makerere University (Kampala) & Sokoine University of Agriculture (Tanzania). The study was on Employment, water and land-related developments in areas receiving foreign agricultural investments in Uganda. The objectives of this study included. • Examine development outcomes of foreign Agric investments for local livelihoods particularly along the dimensions of employment, land tenure security & water security. • Identify the factors which enhance positive development outcomes along dimensions of employment, land tenure security and water security. •Assess the role of emerging rights-based investment governance instruments in shaping agricultural investments in Sub-Saharan Africa. Directly by guiding agricultural investors or indirectly as tools for national government and civil society. Generally, the Survey was to Assess the impact of foreign investors on land tenure, employment, entrepreneurship, food production and marketing dynamics in Nwoya, Nakasongola and Kanungu. I supported in conducting individual interviews with small holder farmers and properly recording all the required information, data cleaning for accuracy and consistency in the data collected.

International Potato Centre (CIP) promoted Triple S technology in Uganda to preserve sweet potato vines during dry season by farmers. The technology was first tested in in 2004 in Teso sub-region. Many farmer groups have since then been trained on the use of this technology. CIP and National Agricultural Research Organization (NARO) conducted a study whose main objective was to determine the farmers participation in Triple S technology and its effect on household's food security and dietary diversity. CIP and NARO conducted this study in Acholi, Lango and Teso sub-region. I supervised a team of 4 research assistants, conducted sampling of households to be interviewed and data quality check.

Sanitation Solutions Group (SSG) is a social Enterprise that aims to create a sanitation industry in Uganda focused on sustainable provision of improved sanitation products and services that will impact at scale through commercially viable supply chains. SSG plans to develop several sustainable business models that will support this objective by partnering with local partners, fabricators, and entrepreneurs, creating economic benefit for stakeholders at every stage of the supply chain. SSG, being one of the consortium partner on USAID Uganda Sanitation for Health Activity (USHA) supported an in-depth study, Rural Household and Institutional Survey (RHIS) and Value Chain Actors (VCAs) in-depth research was conducted to obtain primarily qualitative and quantitative data to understand customers and Value chain actors behaviours and assess drivers and barriers towards purchase and market- based provision of improved sanitation. This survey contributed to the development of National Sanitation Market Strategy (NSMS) for Uganda. I actively participated in developing the tools ( questionnaires), training and supervising of research assistants, carrying out business economics interviews among others.
