• DUTIES: I am an undergraduate research assistant at the Semantic Hearing Lab in the UW CSE department advised by Shyam Gollakota and Malek Itani, where we develop technologies to address the cocktail party problem through selective noise cancellation. I built a web application that processes real-time audio from a user's surroundings, feeds it into a trained neural network to identify distinct sound sources, and enables users to selectively adjust the volume or presence of specific sounds. My work includes designing intuitive user interfaces, integrating real-time audio processing pipelines, and contributing to user studies evaluating the effectiveness of speaker channel selection cues.

• DUTIES: I prepare review materials from lectures to teach weekly quiz sections for over 30 students. Additionally, I hold multiple 60-minute office hours each week to facilitate discussions on the course's discussion site. I also develop and grade assignments and exams while maintaining accurate grade and attendance records.

• BACKGROUND: I developed a script for the GRC team to identify employees with improper access to files meant for management-only accounts. Previously, this process relied on manual tracking and reminders. My solution automated the detection process and presented the data through a user-friendly dashboard, simplifying file ownership management and improving visibility across the team. • TECH STACK: A significant part of my internship involved programming in JavaScript, along with ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming), a language specific to the SAP platform.

• BACKGROUND: Gekko Corporation is a Value-Added Reseller specializing in Splunk Operational Intelligence Software, helping companies search, monitor, and analyze machine-generated big data. They focus on IT operations, security, business analysis, and IoT, serving clients like Costco, NPR, and Comcast. • TECHNICAL PROJECT: At Gekko Corporation, I worked on AI-driven projects, earned IBM WatsonX AI & Data badges to enhance client presentations, built a vector database to optimize biodata retrieval, and integrated AI into a health tracking app to reduce compute time using OpenAI's APIs. • TECH STACK: I have worked with Helicone to manage AI requests alongside OpenAI’s APIs.

• BACKGROUND: I participated as a software developer for the control teams of the Tunnel Boring Machine project. Originally, the organization focused on designing and creating miniature hyperloop systems based on the real-world transportation speculated by Elon Musk in 2013. Recently, they have moved their efforts to the creation of the model machines responsible for creating the passages for hyperloop systems. • TECHNICAL PROJECT: The software development team of the organization was tasked with the development of an interactive GUI that would display relevant statistics and data that was being actively collected by the tunnel boring machine (i.e. temperature, drill speed, etc.). The GUI would also contain several important controls to manage the machine, such as an emergency stop button. • TECH STACK: The development of the GUI required a front-end to display any relevant technical details to the machine operators and thus had me programming mainly in React.

• BACKGROUND: I participated in an 8-week Software Engineering Accelerator coaching program led by Software Engineer and YouTuber Aman Manazir during my sophomore year. This experience provided valuable insights into expanding my professional network and targeting companies of interest. Additionally, I refined my resume to better showcase my skills and experiences and practiced coding interview fundamentals, equipping me with the tools and confidence to succeed in technical interviews.

• OVERVIEW: During my senior year of high school, I worked at Rite Aid as a sales associate responsible for handling customer support inquiries and employing effective organizational techniques on the floor. • BACKGROUND: Rite Aid is a company based around community health and wellness. They have been in operation since the 20th century and have various drugstore chains open across the U.S. The company has been very successful and currently is a part of the Fortune 500. • DUTIES: As a sales associate, I was in charge of operating the shelf-stocking duty every week to ensure the organization and quality of products. Additionally, I completed the task of re-organizing item labels weekly to update customers about current item pricing and sales. I also collaborated with fellow employees to ensure customer safety and satisfaction.

• OVERVIEW: I participated in the YEOC mentorship program during my senior year of high school and improved both my communication and leadership skills by participating in various workshops and activities centered around finance and business administration. • BACKGROUND: YEOC is a 9-month program hosted by the University of Washington to help underrepresented high school students learn about professional development and key business skills. The program is hosted by the UW Foster School of Business and is sponsored by Ernest and Young. • DUTIES: I was selected as one of 160 students from a pool of 400+ applicants. I worked with UW Foster School students to help build skills surrounding career, networking, and leadership values. Throughout the program, I developed creative presentations utilizing current marketing strategies and knowledge from the business sector to resolve scenarios based on real-world problems.

• OVERVIEW: I was elected as the vice president of finance for DECA during my senior year of high school and was tasked with planning activities and events to help fundraise capital for the club. • DUTIES: I assisted the officer team in coordinating fundraisers to help raise money for our school chapter. I drafted meeting plans for weekly DECA meetings and helped present our weekly slideshow. I also continued participating in the Finacial Services Team Decision-Making Roleplays with my partner Rohan Wassink, even qualifying for internationals both during my junior and senior years (more detail in awards).

• OVERVIEW: I was elected as the vice president of hospitality for DECA during my junior year of high school and was tasked with improving club engagement and increasing overall membership. • DUTIES: I was in charge of advertising club meetings to new students each week. I used tools such as Canva to create various flyers and posters to assist in reaching larger audiences. During meetings, I maintained the comfort of members by always ensuring to answer all their questions and providing them with any sort of assistance they may have recommended. I also provided presentation advice for students in the role-play category and ran the weekly club meetings along with the other officers over Zoom during the pandemic period.

• OVERVIEW: I was a member of the DECA chapter for all four years of my high school career. The organization helped me exercise and improve both my communication and presentation skills in a business-orientated setting focusing on financial services for potential clients. • BACKGROUND: DECA stands for Distribution Clubs of America and it is a 501 non-profit to help students develop key professional skills that can assist them in becoming leaders and entrepreneurs in fields such as marketing and management. • DUTIES: I would participate in weekly meetings and assist in publicizing club activities to friends. I also participated in the various DECA competitions and fundraisers that occurred. By performing in the Financial Services Team Decision-Making category, I developed skills and knowledge in project presentation, public speaking, securities trading, accounting, and various types of financing and team-building skills.

• OVERVIEW: I worked at Kumon during the first three years of high school and graded homework assignments students were provided at the center and assisted them in mastering math and reading concepts they struggled with. • BACKGROUND: Kumon is an educational company based in Japan that was founded by Toru Kumon. The company focuses on helping students master skills in math and reading subjects by utilizing the "Kumon Method", which is built on the foundations of problem-solving and efficiency. • DUTIES: I am correct on both student homework and classwork. At times, I also tutor students 1 to 1 in topics such as Algebra, Geometry, Critical Reading, and Text Interpretation. I headed the organization of the center during the pandemic through increased sanitation and maintaining student health.

• OVERVIEW: I participated in this virtual internship with the Seattle Children's Hospital to virtually shadow a professional immunology specialist and gain experience in various laboratory techniques to extra information from various biological samples (i.e. DNA and microbes). • BACKGROUND: Seattle Children's Hospital is a medical center that focuses its care and practices on infants, children, teens, and young adults. The hospital is known for its advancement in cancer research, genetics, and immunology. • DUTIES: As an intern, I was a part of the virtual training program(VRTP) in biomedicine for minority students. I attended virtual lectures led by PhD-level scientists on topics like biochemistry and immunology. I observed various medical processes, such as gel electrophoresis, in virtual labs alongside other students. Additionally, I absorbed information about various scientific procedures used to produce experimental data, and how that data can be applied in the real world.

• MAJOR & MINOR: I am a Direct Admit to the Paul G. Allen School of Computer Science and Engineering and am majoring in computer science with a specialization in data science.
