He is an experienced facade designer and engineer with a passion for bringing nature and biodiversity back in to cities. He founded Vertical Meadow a living wall company to speed up the adoption of greening of facades in cities. Vertical Meadow is an innovative new approach to greening vertically. It is a nature based solution that grows vertical walls from seeds in situ based around native wildflowers. There are temporary and permanent solutions depending whether it is for a construction site or a permanent building facade. He also works part time for Arup as a facade engineer.

After many years of working with Arup i have decided to concentrate on a project very close to my heart Vertical Meadow which Arup has supported in its development. This is a spin out from the Ventures team in Arup. It is about delivering low cost/ low maintenance and above all natural living wall systems designed for biodiversity. There is a temporary solution for construction sites but a permanent facade solution under development... All are designed using standard construction techniques.
