Overseeing the smooth running of 2 Study Support Centres, project planning, budgeting, health & safety and building partnerships. Making decisions on new hardware and software purchases for both centres. Developing and implementing systems to exact requirements using MS Access and Excel.

I taught both academic and short courses to adult students with mixed abilities and a high majority who were ESL. The topics included Java programming, Analysis and Design of Application Software using UML, Computer Science to Access level and e-BUSINESS to Access Level. I produced all schemes of work; lesson plans and created my own learning resources. Through assessing and observing my students, I developed lessons to promote a good understanding and high personal development.

Delivered classroom based training, briefings and floor walking support to current corporate migration projects within an ITIL environment including: Windows 7 OS, Office 2010, MS Lync VoIP Telephony, MS Outlook 2010, OWA and MS Sharepoint2010. Created Computer Based Training using Adobe Captivate as well as Quick Guides for support to end users. Provided 2nd line support using the SupportWorks system connecting remotely to users using SCCM to resolve training issues and meeting SLA’s.

Steering a group of young professional footballers to achieve NVQ ICT Level 3, each of which had differing abilities in this subject. Producing Action Plans for each group member to help them achieve and build their confidence. Teaching MS Office at all levels from Novice to Advanced and the broader spectrum of IT which ranged from Health & Safety to organisational IT Support. Using assessments, observation, witness statements and cross-referencing techniques to build comprehensive portfolios.

An after school project developed to assist 9-14 year old children with weak Key Skills, using sport as an incentive. Supporting young people with varying skills using the Microsoft Office Suite and MS-Publisher following the National Curriculum Guidelines. I supported and maintained the wireless network of 30 laptops run on an NT Server. Working in Active Directory setting up/closing new accounts and profiles. Problem solving, installing software and resolving conflicts to ensure down time was kept to a minimum.
