Provided group therapy for adults and teens struggling with anger issues and for adults struggling with unemployment/underemployment

Provided individual therapy to adults with a wide range of mental health issues. Provided information and referrals and assisted with linkage to community resources. Provided supervisory coverage on an as-needed basis. Conducted anger management in-service trainings to agency staff. Participated in decision-making for trainings for the agency as a member of the in-service committee.

Oversaw the outpatient mental health program. Maintained policies and procedures in accordance with state regulations. Conducted and maintained quality assurance program. Facilitated in-service trainings on mental health and co-occurring topics to agency staff. Supervised master’s level therapists and graduate interns. Provided assessments and individual, group and family therapy to clients co-occurring disorders. Selected for and participated in the NJ DMHS/DAS Co-occurring Disorders Task Force.

Conducted anger management in-service trainings for staff working in mental health and mental retardation services.

Provided assessment and diagnosis of individuals presenting to crisis center. Linked clients to mental health and drug and alcohol treatment facilities. Completed PCPC (Pennsylvania Client Placement Criteria) evaluations on clients with drug and alcohol issues. Arranged voluntary and involuntary hospitalizations, including involuntary commitment petitions and restraining clients. Trained new case managers.

Conducted face-to-face intake evaluations. Certified to complete PCPC evaluations. Engaged in crisis intervention, including completing involuntary commitment petitions, arranging voluntary hospitalization, and physical restraint. Provided case management, linking clients to various community resources. Served as the hospital liaison to Norristown State Hospital.

Oversaw the intensive outpatient drug and alcohol and mental health programs. Provided clinical and administrative supervision to masters level clinicians and clinicians working toward their certification as drug and alcohol counselors. Completed intake assessments for admission to treatment using the ASI (Addiction Severity Index), based on ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) criteria. Represented the agency as the Drug Court Liaison, working with the court system to link clients to substance abuse services. Collaborated with referral organizations.

Provide individual, group and couples counseling to adults with various presenting problems. Facilitate interventions with families concerned about a loved one with an addiction. Provide clinical supervision to professionals working toward their independent clinical licenses. Provide training and presentations to the community on various mental health and addictions topics.
