I had management responsibility for four part-time academic staff that I appointed to deliver specialist modules in construction, architecture, and economics and finance. I initiated a partnership between the Housing Futures course and MOAT Housing (a registered social landlord) which enabled the students to work as a team of consultants to study and document good practice in regeneration taking place at a MOAT project in the Thames Gateway. I successfully applied for a grant from the British Academy to study public involvement in planning. I also lectured on a number of UCL programmes including the MSc in Advanced Architectural Studies.

I contribute to the programme of evidence based research at Centre for Cities. I am currently working with colleagues on two projects. The first draws on national and city-specific polls to understand why people decide to live where they do and the impact that this has on urban planning and development. The second project focuses on asset management and the how public sector organisations can improve asset management practices to support economic development.
