I was employed at SKY Network Television as the SKY Publicity Assistant, assisting the SKY Publicity Manager and SKY Publicists. This was a busy and varied role which required a keen eye for detail as I was responsible for writing and entering the billings into IBMS for all the SKY Movies channels, the BOX, Vibe, Jones! and SoHo. My expertise in InDesign and PhotoShop saw my skills put to use in creating invitations for events and info sheets for upcoming programs. I also collated the weekly program highlights from the monthly highlights documents for SKY Network Television’s factual, entertainment, movies and family channels. I was also charged with the collation and distribution of the Publicity department’s monthly internal e-newsletter, 'Publicity Press', to the wider Entertainment Content department at SKY Network Television.

In this role I contributed to the growth of the business by processing account applications and transactions. Provided exemplary customer service in the branch, as well as fronting promotional events as required, including: 50+ Lifestyle Expo, North Shore Home Show, and Waitakere Home Show.

As Online Content and Publicity Assistant for Parkside Media I initiated and nurtured business relationships with a variety of individuals and organisations to ensure the most accurate and up-to-date information for Parkside Media’s portfolio of websites and Facebook pages. This included moderating the online forums, writing and uploading daily news stories, posting updates and interacting with our readership on Facebook, collating the analysis and performance reporting for the websites using Google Analytics, and maintaining website content using the content management system, Plone.

Overseeing all marketing and media activities including redevelopment of the Number 1 Homes' website and social media presence, while also ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the office.
