I am responsible for developing and maintaining a portfolio of approximately 75 donors. I identify then research, cultivate, solicit and steward these very important donors towards a major gift to our institution. I work collaboratively with and in support of volunteers, other development staff, and other NCC representatives to cultivate and solicit donors for our conservation priorities. I monitor these donors, through media, volunteer relationships, and other research to ensure they are receiving the attention they deserve. I develop and assist with fundraising and cultivation strategies that are as diverse as the provinces I serve. I provide fundraising training to program managers, as well as training in our internal database.

Staff liaison for workplace campaigns, part of a team of 4 responsible for 94 % of the donations UWHR receives. In 2008 the 4 divisions I managed raised more than $2.4 -million in donations—40% of our $5.8-million goal. In 2009 the 5 divisions I managed raised more than $2.3 -million in donations—39% of our $6-million goal. I advised workplaces, in a variety of resource sectors, on how to optimize their campaigns; steward account relationships by conducting presentations and training; and served as an ambassador for the community building initiatives we supported.
