Responsible for designing and day to day operational support of the medicinal chemistry laboratory facilities and staff.

Led and managed the ocular drug discovery projects from the early HTS lead identification to the nomination of development candidates; Designed (both SAR and structure based) and directed the synthesis of small molecule drug candidates for lead identification and optimization for neuropathic pain application, inflammation, and the treatment of ocular and skin diseases; Prepared NCE patent applications in collaboration with internal and external patent attorneys; Coordinated various research activities with a multidisciplinary team of medicinal chemists, biologists, pharmacologists, and external collaborators.
