I have developed my own role by working with the marketing manager to produce bi monthly newsletter campaigns to our clients. Some of my work is monitoring our digital platforms and analysing this each month through spreadsheets and presentations. This role has built on my copywriting skills as I frequently write articles for our website and newsletter. I also make B2B calls and communicate with our existing clients through email and over the phone.

I woke up the students of Sunderland every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We tried to achieve a light hearted approach to radio by not taking ourselves too seriously.

I worked very hard in my first year to earn the breakfast show. At the time, I was the only member of the team that presents three breakfast shows from Friday to Sunday. I presented each programme with enthusiasm and energy to bring the best features and stories to the student audience of Sunderland.

My course is intergrated into Spark so alot of the on air content that we make is broadcast on the station. The course has helped to develope skills in -Final Cut Pro -Adobe Audition -Adobe Premier Pro I learnt how to cover the news aimed at different audiences through specific projects on the course. I am legally sound to cover news on air having passed media law for broadcast and court reporting and I have a working knowledge of the OFCOM code for broadcast purposes. As part of my full time course I also do all the work for Spark in the positions above.
