Design, execute and interpret research studies to better understand the role of A20 in mice and humans.👩‍🔬🔬🐁🧫 👉 Conduct in vivo and ex vivo studies for investigating A20 expression in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). ✔️ Identified aberrant expression of anti-bacterial peptides and luminal dysbiosis that confers host susceptibility to intestinal inflammation (published work, see below). ✔️ Created 6 new mice strains.🐁 👉Develop cell-based vaccines in rodent to delay colon cancer development. ✔️ Drove 3 collaborations with well-known research labs to initiate this innovative project. 🤝 👉 Design a novel approach for identifying intestinal microbiota markers in IBD patient’s stool. ✔️ Lead 2 collaborations to develop a new microbiota-based assay on IBD patient’s cohort. 👉 Achieved the French Philippe Foundation award for postdoctoral fellowship.🏅 I worked on many projects in Averil Ma's lab : -A20 expression in dendritic cells (DCs) regulating defensin expression and preserving commensal homeostasis in mice. -Intestinal anti-IgA and IgG coated bacteria in IBD patients. -Development of DC vaccine promoting delays in MC-38 colon cancer growth.
