I am an experienced central banking professional with over 11 years in banking regulation and supervision, risk management, corporate governance, bank resolution and recovery, and monetary operations. Currently, I am an LL.M. candidate in EU Banking and Financial Regulation at Frankfurt School of Finance. With a background in monetary economics, I also have practical expertise in regulatory frameworks, AML/CFT, policy development, and a strong understanding of banking operations, financial markets, and public financial management. At CBI, I worked in the Banking Studies and Regulation Department, contributing to key supervisory initiatives, including: -Drafting new central banking and banking laws. -Revising regulations on banks' corporate governance, large exposures, and related party transactions. -Developing banks' senior manager certification and fit & proper criteria. -Drafting regulations on operational risk management and deposit guarantee funds. I have engaged in AML/CFT initiatives, including participation in a World Bank workshop, and gained experience in cross-border tax compliance (FATCA, CRS). Committed to continuous learning, I attended international seminars on inflation targeting post-2008, prudential supervision, macroprudential regulations, and bank restructuring. Additionally, I have taught short courses on risk-based banking supervision, core principles for effective banking supervision, and operational risk management. With a strong background in public financial management and development policies, I have gained valuable experience in public financial management including budgeting and fiscal policy, as well as development policies. I have a keen understanding of how sound financial management supports long-term development goals and economic growth. Beyond my regulatory work, I have analyzed large datasets, such as Households Income and Expenditure Survey, using Stata and MATLAB. I recognize the growing importance of data-driven policymaking and see value in further developing my skills in Python and R.
