Advising a talented team building Antibody Drug Conjugate drugs using a multidimensional discovery LiliumX™ platform

Worked with the Antibody Society leaders to support the field of therapeutic antibody drug development.

Led a 100+ strong R&D organization comprising Drug Discovery, Nonclinical Development, Information Technology, Data Science, Operations and Program and Alliance Management to fortify the internal oncology pipeline with Tri-specific NK cell Engagement Therapies DF7001 (5T4-targeted NK Engager subsequently partnered with Gilead), DF9001 (EGFR-targeted Engager), and DF6215 (IL-2 Cytokine Immunotherapy) and expand into autoimmunity (DF5112) while delivering three programs to opt-in decisions by BMS, Merck and AbbVie. Brought two new sites in the US and Denmark into operation.

Responsible for drug development into first-in-human clinical studies. Co-inventor of α4β7 and αvβ6 small molecule integrin inhibitors. Built and led Safety Assessment, Technical Operations, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Assurance, Program and Alliance Management, Information Technology, Data Science, Business and Corporate Development functions. Delivered MORF-057 (a selective, oral small molecule inhibitor of the α4β7 integrin in development to treat patients suffering from inflammatory bowel disease) IND and MORF-720 (small molecule αvβ6 integrin inhibitor, for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis) IND-enabling data package to partner (AbbVie) opt-in. Forged research and development collaborations with AbbVie and Janssen. Took an active part in Series A and Series B fundraising and IPO.

Led the development of istiratumab (MM-141), a bispecific antibody co-targeting ErbB3 and IGF-1R, from the design concept into the biomarker selected Phase 2 clinical trial in metastatic pancreatic cancer. Built R&D capabilities for antibody-based drugs. Co-discovered five oncology drug candidates. Actively supported ONIVYDE® (irinotecan liposome injection for the treatment of adult patients with metastatic pancreatic adenocarcinoma) launch and commercialization activities.

Led Physical Biochemistry group that provided Protein Design, Research Assays, Molecular Biophysics, Computational Chemistry, and Structural Biology expertise to protein therapeutics and small molecule drug discovery and development project teams at two R&D sites across three therapeutic areas: oncology, immunology and neurobiology. Co-invented multiple drug candidates that advanced into clinical development including tovorafenib (Ojemda™), an FDA-approved targeted therapy for children 6 months or older living with pediatric low-grade glioma.
