Alexis H.

As a student of both History and Religious Studies, my time at Youngstown State University was spent cultivating my research and written skills. I was lucky to study abroad in the Czech Republic, Poland, and Germany, which gave me an opportunity to engage in hands-on research. I double-majored in the two disciplines and minored in Jewish studies. In my final year as an undergraduate, I engaged in independent research and wrote both a history capstone and a religious studies honors thesis. In turn, I was also involved on campus, serving as a founding member of the YSU Coalition Against Human Trafficking (Y-CAHT) and various volunteer commitments through the honors college. I graduated with 3.97 GPA and as an Honors Scholar, and am most grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow, both as a student and as person through the invaluable mentorship I received.
