A results-driven professional with a strong background in facilities maintenance, safety, and security management. I am committed to utilizing business practices that will maximize productivity while reducing operating costs. One of my main tasks is to ensure building users are safe and supported. In addition to creating a safe and productive environment, my priority is providing quality services that improve the teaching and student learning experience. Possessing a first-class Facility Management Professional (FMP) and other safety and security qualifications means I can professionally drive change. I oversee the operations, maintenance, and execution of projects, budget development, contract negotiation, space planning, and office support in my department. Being a business enabler, I believe that a Facilities Manager must be proficient in people skills to minimize conflicts and develop productive working relationships with internal staff, customers, and the community. I transitioned to this role after having gained well-rounded experience in the construction industry. Throughout my career, I have worked on various projects, including residential, commercial, industrial, and critical infrastructure projects, during which I gained an in-depth working knowledge of Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and HVAC systems. Therefore, I can efficiently and effectively identify and relate relevant technical issues and recommend cost-effective solutions in a timely manner.
