Alexandra Davies-Jones

I am responsible for devising, managing and implementing targeted regional communications strategies that promote the company’s activities, services and campaigns with a focus on capital investment projects with all interested stakeholders including customers and the local media. I drive awareness among customers, communities and all external stakeholders, of relevant business developments, investment and company campaigns with specific emphasis on the investment projects.

I support the UK External Affairs team in raising the profile of RICS; ensure regional media channels are used to best effect to support the implementation of the UK business plan; support the delivery of the UK regional sector targets for Wales and the West Midlands and national media as required; Manage and implement specific PR campaigns/projects supporting the RICS political influencing agenda; manage and implement PR Campaigns relating to the UK Business Plan and provide member communications support for the regional office. In November 2014 I completed a secondment to the Washington DC office where I was responsible for creating the North American media strategy and created contacts with relevant journalist and stakeholders.

My main duties included the researching of legislation & committee papers, drafting policy positions and reports for publications, speeches, briefings and questions plenary and committees. I was also responsible for drafting all press releases for Mick Antoniw AM and dealing with all media requests. I assisted on Casework, managed the diary, met constituents, organizations and companies and organized events at the Assembly and constituency.

Managing policy casework, research for parliamentary questions & reports, drafting press releases and formal statements. I was also responsible for drafting leaflets, weekly newspaper columns and constituency leaflets.
