Alexandria Kisow (she/her), 22, is a videographer & photographer based in Chicago, Pittsburgh, & New York City. her work is rooted in people. alexandria’s strongest artistic drive comes from reflecting others back onto herself, seeing the people she photographs and films as extensions of her own perspective. through this lens, her visuals highlight not only the beauty of her subjects, but also the spaces they occupy, the vantage point chosen, and the subtle details that shape each image. working primarily with analog film, alexandria shoots on 35mm, medium format, large format, and polaroid, while also incorporating digital when needed. her filmmaking practice includes Super 8 and 16mm film. recently, she deepened her exploration of large-format photography through a self-portrait series, examining the tension between how she presents herself on camera and how she photographs others. Alexandria has three internships under her belt as a Social Media Marketing intern at Visit Pittsburgh in the summer of 2023, Video Editing Internship at SexSymbol Magazine from July- September 2025, and Content Creation Intern at Candy Coders Cocktails from October-December 2025. Alexandria has worked as a Production Manager for Open Mouth Media’s Gallery Show in New York City, while also being a gallery artist for OMM in March and July 2025. In November 2025, Alexandria started a new position as a part-time sales associate at Topdrawer in Chicago, IL. In June 2025, Alexandria showcased her photography at the SilverLab Gallery show in Pittsburgh, PA. In September 2025, she also displayed a film photograph at Studio 4 x Bodega Film Lab’s gallery show in Pittsburgh. Alexandria also has her photography work published in Wisteria Magazine (a local Brooklyn based zine), Visual Poetry Journal, Chill Magazine as a contributing photographer, and her own published book called Alexandria Kisow- In Review consisted of work from her last semester of college, with the help of her mentor Professor Joe Lawton lll. While being more in tune with her photography career, Alexandria is a filmmaker first. Almost all of Alexandria’s films are shot on 16mm and 8mm as she is passionate about analog visual art/storytelling.
