• Actively participated in the identification of lead candidates by managing in vivo studies evaluating their pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic properties; • Recommended drug development strategies (including two major No Go decisions) to cross-functional discovery team through thorough analysis and interpretation of pre-clinical efficacy data, and conceptualization of studies with strong rationale; • Acted as the primary preclinical scientific resource for literature review, and identification of novel experimental approaches, endpoints and/or biomarkers; • Establish novel external collaborations, and supervised over 20 outsourced projects; • Prepared comprehensive scientific presentations for internal and external uses, including due diligence procedures, and Board of Directors meetings; • Closely collaborated with associate director, study director and animal healthcare supervisor to ensure lean and efficient teamworking and timely delivery on all mandates; • Ranked first amongst peers in 2011 year-end evaluation for ‘outstanding impact’.

• Actively participated in human/animal cardiopulmonary studies (6 papers published); • Characterized biodistribution and pulmonary clearance of adrenomedullin in dogs that led to the elaboration of clinical derivatives for molecular imaging of pulmonary circulation; • Developed two rat cardiovascular pathological models; • Wrote and published scientific articles and abstracts; • Elaborated detailed protocols, SOPs, scientific presentations and operating budgets; • Modeled teamwork by supervising and training five graduated students.

M.Sc. thesis subject: GPIIb/IIIa and P-Selectin involvement in platelet activation, platelet aggregation and platelet-neutrophil interactions. Experimental Knowledge: • Cardiovascular physiopathology and pharmacology; • Pharmacology and physiology of haemostasis and blood coagulation; • Platelet and neutrophil cellular biology.
