Alexandre (Alex) Alves

For the last two decades Alex has been in the forefront developing strategic partnerships with academia, private sector companies, and governments. Over $50M on leverage and fundraising: For 15 years, he has served as the Private Sector Engagement & Partnership Development Specialist at USAID/Brazil where he worked on the structuring and implementation of two innovative collective action platforms - Mais Unidos Group (www.maisunidos.org) and the Partnership Platform for the Amazon (www.ppa.org.br). Investment Opportunities: For over 7 years, Mr. Alves was the USAID/Brazil Liasion for the Development Finance Corporation (DFC) where he developed an extensive pipeline of investment opportunities and worked on closing deals that amounted in over $500M. Mr. Alves was the Assistant Dean College of Business and a Professor at Lewis University in Illinois, U.S, teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level, recruted hundreds of international students contributing for the internationalization of the campus. He earned a contract major BA degree from Bethany College in Business Administration and Political Science and MBA from Lewis University. Alex is a writer of romance fiction and short stories.
