About
Alexandra has carved an impressive career, seamlessly combining her legal expertise with business leadership. After earning her LLB at the University of Edinburgh, she began her professional journey in Canada, articling at the distinguished boutique employment law firm, George Waggott Law. She later became an Associate, providing expert guidance on management-side employment and labor law matters for a diverse range of companies, including Fortune 500 organizations. Her work addressed complex issues such as hiring, compensation, discipline, terminations, severance, workplace policies, and union-related disputes, often representing clients before significant boards, tribunals, and courts in Ontario. In 2022, Alexandra returned to Hays Specialist Recruitment (Canada) Inc., transitioning to Assistant General Counsel for the North American team. She has since been promoted to Lead Counsel - Canada, offering comprehensive legal support across the business, with a focus on employment matters, strategic advice, and corporate contracts. Her achievements have been recognized with accolades like the Canadian Outstanding Contributor award in 2023 and the SIA’s Top 40 Under 40 award in 2024. Beyond her professional roles, Alexandra is an active member of the legal and business community. She serves as Secretary of the Ontario Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) and has previously advised the board of the National Association of Canadian Consulting Businesses (NACCB). Her pre-law experience at Hays includes a standout sales career, where she earned the Rookie of the Year award in 2015. Her journey exemplifies a dynamic blend of legal acumen, strategic leadership, and community engagement.
