About

Alexandra recently completed her Master degree in public health from the accredited School of Public Health at the University of Saskatchewan (MPH). During her degree, she has gained extensive experience in the field of epidemiology, biostatistics, and health policy and programming. In addition, she completed a systemic program evaluation of a province-wide STBBI screening program with Alberta Health Services. Alexandra has extensively developed her analytic, communicative and leadership skills during this time as she independently performed data analysis of health outcomes from large health data sets, completed research reports for government, performed extensive literature reviews, and developed province-wide presentations to multiple stakeholders. She has successfully presented internationally on STBBIs while acquiring a Young Researcher's scholarship and published a peer-reviewed paper. Since then, she has been utilized as a research assistant to complete statistical analysis on health outcomes for ongoing research with the University of Alberta. She has gained hands-on experience with disease control and working with individuals with various health outcomes via her roles as a COVID-19 contract tracer & investigator, and via her roles as a behavioural interventionist working with individuals with ASD and in volunteer positions with the NICU at Royal Alexandra Hospital and HIV Edmonton respectfully. At present, Alexandra works as a consultant data analyst with Statistics Canada where she has enhanced her data analysis and dissemination skills. Alexandra is committed to gaining more experience working with communities to enhance health outcomes as a public health professional while aiming to refine her health policy analyst and research skills.
