Relocated to the firm's then new Singapore office in order to develop a TMT practice in South East Asia. The practice was focused on technology and telecoms companies, and TMT services for financial institutions, and will be geographically focussed towards Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines. Also responsible for our Hong Kong and North East Asia (excluding the PRC) TMT practice and regularly travel to Hong Kong. Continued to have some responsibility for our Middle East TMT practice.

Was responsible for developing the firm's market-leading TMT practice in Dubai which covered the whole of the GCC, and many jurisidictions in the wider Middle East and anglophone Africa. The team was ranked "Band 1" five years in a row in Legal 500 and Chambers.

Advising on commercial and regulatory issues relevant to the introductory of competition into the Qatari telecoms market and the second fixed and mobile operators' market entry, and subsequently assisting with the negotiation of commercial telecoms agreements with the new entrant, Vodafone Qatar.
