As a trainee solicitor, I spent four seats of 6 months each in the Energy, Corporate and Energy Disputes teams. As part of my training contract I was seconded for 6 months to the in-house legal team at Conoco Phillips in Aberdeen, Scotland.

Dual-qualified (England and Norway) corporate lawyer specializing in capital markets and M&A. Capital markets: I have advised on several stock market listings on the Oslo Stock Exchange, as well as several secondary share issues/placements. Typical assistance includes holding the pen on the listing documentation and prospectus and liaising with the regulatory authorities and the Oslo Stock Exchange. M&A: I am actively involved in all processes relating to the M&A deal cycle, including initial negotiations, due diligence, drafting and negotiation of transaction documentation, completion and post-completion follow-up.

Based in the Wikborg Rein office in Shanghai, I provided a wide variety of corporate and commercial legal advice to Norwegian, Chinese and international clients. This included advising on inbound and outbound M&A transactions, optimization of corporate group structures, incorporation of Chinese subsidiaries and corporate entities, Chinese intellectual property, and establishing business through the Shanghai Free Trade Zone. I also advise clients on anti-corruption legislation, including assistance with anti-bribery programs, in particular in respect of Norwegian legislation and the UK Bribery Act.
