I believe that nature is an incredible engine of innovation that provides us with an inexhaustible toolbox to address the challenges of our time. I am passionate about using biology to develop novel and transformative medicines. In 2013 I co-founded Symvivo Corporation to develop a novel bacterial-based gene delivery platform technology. I led the company from inception through to clinical evaluation across our therapeutic programs in oncology, immunology and vaccines. I established the vision and corporate objectives and helped lead our teams through the completion of multiple funding rounds, Pharma collaborations and the execution of novel first-in-human gene therapy clinical trials, including one of the first SARS-CoV-2 vaccine candidate clinical trials in 2020.
