Alexander Gin

Dr Alexander Gin is a contemporary Dermatologist and Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists. Dr Alex completed his specialist training in Melbourne through tertiary hospitals including The Royal Children’s Hospital and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. He has two years’ experience working at St George’s Hospital in London and completed a fellowship in Dermatology and Lymphovascular Medicine. He is passionate about dermatology in the developing world after volunteering in Tanzania and Myanmar. Dr Alex was awarded the Herman Lawrence Prize in Clinical Dermatology. His research has been published in multiple medical journals and presented at both national and international conferences. Dr Alex has in interest in general medical dermatology and dermatology procedures. He consults privately at The Dermatology Clinic in Mulgrave, Melbourne. Dr Alex works as a consultant dermatologist at The Alfred Hospital where he is involved in education of medical students and dermatology trainees. He also provides rural outreach clinics to Sale through Central Gippsland Health. He is committed to lecturing at General Practitioner training workshops. Dr Alex is dedicated to all aspects of general dermatology including skin cancer, acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea and paediatric conditions.
