Group T Mining is a specialized technical mining contractor that has, in the last 30 years, provided mining and mining construction services to the major diamond, gold, platinum manganese and copper mines in South Africa. Current services are on the Cullinan Diamond Mine, which is located 40km East of Pretoria, Gauteng Province, South Africa. My responsibilities consist of executing the "Plan Work" element of the Work Management Framework and review of all Work Order Task Status Report daily. This includes assisting in planning & prioritization of current work and tracking all upcoming work. I Plan the approved work orders for resource procurement and execution before required date.

I was responsible for project schedule development and management, cost controlling, analyzing, and reporting of Boiler 6 Master Schedule inclusive of steelwork, HP piping, integral piping, LP piping, Ducting and mechanical erection. I focused risk identification, analyzing overspend on budget and highlighting cost and time variances to the project team. I lead the project controls team and the improvement of project cost control processes.

I was part of the Unit 1-6 Boiler Steel Structure and conveyor erection team. My responsibilities included the development of a reference for design cost loaded schedule defining the workflows and major interfaces for all steel structure and conveyor erection across all six units and the cost management and control, and reporting. Upon baseline approval, my responsibility shifted to schedule management, execution, monitoring, and control of the project and erection works, with internal and external stakeholder management. Development, revision, updating and maintenance of the Master site schedule in line with applicable procedures was a key focus, with continuous coordination of Project Team inputs into the site schedule to achieve delivery as well as achievement of major payment milestones.

As junior planner on the Kendal Power Station major outage, my role involved planning and scheduling, and resource estimation and management for better maintainability of the Unit 5 Boiler and Steam Turbine. I Scheduled all maintenance activities using Microsoft Projects with reporting in Microsoft offices tools. I assisted the project team in identifying maintenance workflows and estimation of required resources during the outage pre-planning. I monitored and controlled the Master outage schedule, capturing hourly progress and reporting on production and resource efficiency outputs.

The Glencore, Beira Tank Farm in Mozambique will store Gasoline & Diesel to cater local requirements. This distribution terminal will have facility for road and in future rail tanker dispatching facilities. The main objective of the project was the engineering, design construction of a fuel storage and LPG storage terminal. I was engaged on the EPCM contract with Steval Engineering for Glencore as a junior planner supporting the Senior planner with schedule management for the civil construction, erection and commissioning of the oil and gas facility. I aided in guidance to the project controls team with planning & scheduling related requirements, and preparation of comprehensive financial and progress reports.
