Wood PLC is a UK international engineering consultancy company operating in more than 50 countries. The Group designs, modifies, constructs and operates industrial facilities mainly for the oil & gas sector, right across their asset life cycle. The Company offers a wide range of world leading cutting edge technical solutions in the areas of subsea, automation, integrity management, environmental and infrastructure, mining & clean energy. Alex worked within the Technical Consulting Solutions (TCS) group which covered areas in Subsea; Asset Integrity; Flow Assurance and Vibration, Dynamics & Noise engineering. Alex previously supported the TCS business in Malaysia, Indonesia and India.

Deloitte is one of the Big 4 global professional services company offering Audit, Tax, Advisory and Consulting services to large MNC's as well as Malaysian public listed companies.

At Smith, Alex managed HR for 2 business segments which was Smith Services and Technologies. Countries covered included Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, China, Australia and Japan with 250+ employees regionwide. Smith International was later acquired by Schlumberger in late 2010.

Baker Hughes is one of the largest oil field services company in the world. Alex joined as Regional HR Manager-Asia Pacific for Baker Oil Tools (BOT), one of the divisions at that time in Baker Hughes. He oversaw the BOT HR operations in Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Vietnam, Indonesia, India, China and Australia which had 500+ employees regionwide.

Joined Newbridge Networks, a Canadian telecommunications equipment provider as HR Generalist and later promoted to HR Manager. Newbridge was later acquired by French telecommunications giant Alcatel. Alcatel have since evolved having merged with Lucent Technologies and was eventually acquired by Nokia.

Joined EY Consulting Services in HR Advisory. Primarily provided Recruitment services to EY's local and MNC clients across all industry sectors.

Started as a Graduate Trainee with a local financial institution and worked in retail banking services.
