My background in media is diverse, having trained in both practical and theoretical disciplines as well as qualifying as a lecturer in both. Regarding practical skills, I am trained in video recording and editing in Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro and After Effects; audio recording and editing in Audition; pre and post-production in audio and video; animation; script writing; storyboarding; location and studio filming; journalism; research and interview techniques. On the theory side, I am experienced in gender and sexuality; race and ethnicity; subcultures and fandoms; reality and documentary; modernism; postmodernism; consumerism; celebrity and stardom; genre studies and film theory. Both practical and theoretical skills have been employed in production and educational establishments, in the capacity of a freelancer and employee, having taught up to degree level. This wide array of knowledge and abilities combines with my creativity, organisational and administrative abilities to make me a considerable asset to any media or educational organisation.
