As an interning researcher for the Chief of Naval Operations Executive Panel it was necessary to synthesize both open source and classified information to present products that were relevant, consequential, and consice; research that could inform and aid policy makers in their role. Time management and attention to detail were paramount for meeting deadlines while producing quality research and analysis; providing noteworthy insight and innovative recommendations regarding our findings. I gained experience in corroborating with a research teammate on multiple projects; learning to grow from one another’s strengths, while respectively delegating tasks in order to maximize our resources. Clear and accurate communication, both written and verbal, was crucial in presenting our work to the CEP staff. The utmost respect and decorum was essential when interacting with high level officials.

Curriculum included politics, culture, and grammar at the Salmintir School. Full immersion required in writing, reading, and speaking in Spanish language. Lived with host family; traveled throughout the country to include Madrid, Barcelona, Toledo, Galicia.
