Alberto Meza-Morales

About
I’m a P.Eng. registered in Alberta, Canada with 15+ years of experience in planning, design, approvals, construction, and commissioning of municipal infrastructure major projects related to wastewater, water & solid waste including sewage lagoons, outfalls structures, pipelines & force mains, lift stations, drainage, stormwater management & ponds, landfills, roads, earthworks, and building facilities. I also have 7+ years of international experience in water supplies and civil infrastructure projects. I’ve held different engineering positions as a project engineer, field engineer, construction manager, and project manager which contributed to developing my proven problem-solving skills allowing me to tackle difficult challenges from different perspectives and produce the deserved results! During my work experiences, I’ve developed and applied my strong technical, project management, interpersonal, and communication skills to address challenges and problems of hydraulics, constructability, contract claims, resources, budget, schedule, scope, RFIs, change orders, risks, and quality & safety encountered during the different project stages. During design, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities, I have also led and supported a multidisciplinary team of consultants and contractors as well as effectively coordinated with internal stakeholders of different departments i.e., Operations, Procurement, Legal, Land, Regulatory, etc. in the successful delivery of the new assets. Public engagement through open houses and online surveys plus consultation with First Nations and Metis groups were also tasks that I have done very well! In addition to having a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, I have post-graduate education in Construction Management, GIS, Construction Law, and Business Communication. Also, I’m trained in Capital Projects Management System (CPMS) to include Safety, Quality Management, Contract Administration, Procurement, and Control of Documents and Records plus formal upgrades in Water Supply & Pollution Control, Environmental Engineering, and Transportation Planning which I have consistently applied to deliver many successful projects. I believe that I possess a balanced mix of qualifications, experience, and skills required to lead and support any kind of Municipal, Renewable Energy, and Utility Infrastructure Project anywhere in Canada and around the world. Although I’m currently busy delivering a diverse portfolio of municipal infrastructure projects, I’m open to new opportunities as a Senior Engineer-Project Manager.
