Project manager controlling a number of projects through the full project life cycle. Using a stage gate process to control and finance through continuous assessment as each project presents its own issues and risks. APMP qualified. Also have experience of Project cost control and producing estimates for approval during the stage gate process.

DOP smoke testing of filter efficiency. Taking flow measurements for annual reviews and recording acceptable and non - acceptable results that were communicated back to the surveyors findings database. Writing and working to procedures that include taking ventilation testing equipment into contact areas but also allowing for its safe and clean removal from the area. Calibration and testing of equipment used for the annual reviews of hazardous ventilation. Report writing and communicating the findings. Some design work along with giving recommendations for improving some vent systems.

Setting up and managing contracts for all services. Placing orders on a daily basis with approved suppliers. Managing the main engineering consumables contract from tender to completion of contract including the monthly monitoring and feedback meetings to the supplier.

Ordering of materials, Tendering for Fabrication, welding and machining work. Scheduling of work for both the fabrication and machine shops. Arranging for sub-contracting of any work that could not be carried out in house. Managing the welder approval process. Working to nuclear fabrication and welding specifications, writing manufacturing plans and controlling material inventory including material test and analysis certification for use during manufacture of high integrity vessel and pipework to approved designs and specifications.

Plater / Welder working in the fabrication shop as well as on most of the production plants on site at Springfield's. Manufacturing vessels, Ducting, Brackets, and carrying out repairs in the fab shop as well as on site. Working to manufacturing plans and nuclear specifications. Also carried out charge hand activities as and when required.

I served my apprenticeship at Sadlers and after completing it I worked for approx. 18 months on the shop floor fabricating pressure vessels and various pieces of plant for the hydro-electric power stations, and coal mining industry. I was promoted to charge-hand at the age of twenty three and managed the fabrication shop for periods when the foreman was away on business approx. 30 to 40 people of various disciplines. Organising People's Workload, keeping the work moving through the shop, Developing material cutting lists and organising overtime as and when required.
