- Develop inventory controls and re-ordering processes based on materials consumption history, maintenance planned activities, special maintenance events like Shutdowns & Turnarounds. - Conduct periodical meetings with Process Technology, Maintenance, Procurement and Logistics teams to address any supply chain challenges and discuss alternatives, then to adapt our materials control plans accordingly to mitigate any potential risks. - Reviewing inventory balances through Min./Max. stock levels and adequate re-order points to ensure convenient inventory levels are maintained and the necessary controls are in place and followed. - Ensure SAP MRP generated purchase requisitions are processed on time, follow up with Procurement team for vendors quotation sourcing, expedite requesting dept.’s feedback/ acceptance to quotations, follow up until Purchase Orders are officially released to suppliers. - Continuously improve the material planning and orders scheduling processes through generating SAP stock reports (Stock on hand, Reserved Stock, Stock on order, Historical consumption … etc.) for data analysis and implementation of system improvements. - Develop and communicate performance KPIs to assess, review and improve the team’s output. - Responsible for SAP material coding for all material types: Spare parts, Process Chemicals, Lubricants, Tools, Assets & Consumables items. Maintain Material Master data on SAP by updating items description, unit of measure, OEM part number, equipment Tag number, MRP parameters and all other material related details.

- Responsible for managing USD 60 Million worth of inventory; covering all inventory management and control aspects including availability, replenishment and auditing. - Direct and supervise a team of Buyers and Planners responsible for inventory sourcing, stock control and ensuring proper maintenance of inventory system and stock replenishment in accordance with operational demand and supply time frame. - Leading periodical cross-functional meetings with Finance and Operation personnel to derive forecasted inventory requirements and develop inventory flow plan accordingly. - Leading a team of Planners to monitor actual inventory flow against planned figures and to identify and reduce SLOB (Slow moving and Obsolete) and Excess Inventory in order to successfully meet year-end inventory targeted level as percentage of revenue.

- Supervising all export logistics activities made under the various customs regimes (Final – Repair & Return – Temporary – Makassa) for all product lines of Baker Hughes in Saudi Arabia & Bahrain. - Reviewing the logistics process and providing solutions for international and domestic’s logistical issues by eliminating unnecessary routing, reducing lead time, and decreasing freight cost. (Applying a cost saving oriented strategy) - Overseeing and ensuring all logistics related activities are compliant to the rules and policies of Baker Hughes along with the Saudi government in addition to the FCPA. - Establishing and maintaining reporting and communication tools for better management of the ongoing shipments. - Ensuring clearance and shipping transit lead time is meeting the set KPIs and customer’s expectations. - Establishing and monitoring KPIs metrics for freight forwarders and vendors performance scorecards and Dashboards. - Conducting due diligence and negotiating freight deals with vendors to ensure best rates are achieved. - Ensuring export files are complete and well maintained in compliance manner for internal & external audits. - Micro managing the more complex shipments such as hazardous material shipments, explosives, highly urgent shipments, charter flights and Multi-Modal shipments. - Extensive experience when conducting business with the best in class 3rd party logistics providers in Saudi Arabia; covering all freight business. (Air, Sea and land freight) - Reviewing and providing recommendations on the problematic freight forwarders invoices according to trade lane agreements.

- Controlling inventory flow in and out of Alexandria free-trade-zone warehouses, ensuring the proper goods receiving process is in place by conducting physical checking and counting for all incoming shipments against the shipping documents to figure out if any quantity discrepancy was there before receiving the goods into the stocks. In addition to double counting the dispatched quantities and ensuring the consignments are in perfect condition after loading and before leaving the store. - Implementing a complete warehousing system with bin locations identified for all pieces of inventory. - Delivering equipment, tools and chemicals to operating rigs and yards by receiving and transferring items. - Maintaining inventory by conducting monthly physical counts. - Keeping equipment/ forklifts operating by enforcing scheduled preventive maintenance and calls for repairs. - Ensuring the accuracy of inventory data on SAP for all product lines against the physical volumes and enforcing timely update for all transactions on SAP. - Maintaining storage area by organizing floor space and recommending improvements. - Ensuring Health, Safety and Environment standards are completely applied during all day activities. - Coaching & counseling base employees; communicating job expectations, monitoring, appraising job contributions and adhering to policies & procedures. - Meeting warehouse financial needs through petty cash management and replenishment. - Enhance the HS&E culture among all base employees.

1. Inventory Planning and Reporting - Calculating the current and expected quantities & values of “Slow Moving and Obsolete products” and highlighting it to the management to push on using it locally or consider the potentiality of re- exporting these products to other Baker Hughes districts. - Preparing monthly reports about the inventory value & inventory turnover rate to assess how efficiently inventory is being managed. - Monitoring the figures for the inventory value, turnover rate and the slow moving products in order to continuously improve the inventory management performance and to advise the proper recommendations to the management. - Contributing in the preparation for new tenders by gathering information about the products prices along with all other extra costs to calculate its landed cost so that the Business Development department can set the appropriate gross/ field margins. 2. Strategic Sourcing& Procurement - Contacting the inventory regional management for possibility of sourcing out the needed products from another nearby Baker Hughes district instead of placing new orders to the factories. - Scanning the international and local market for competitive quotations of mud chemical products needed in the drilling operation. - Creating purchase orders on SAP and communicate it to the vendors. 3. Inventory Services, Warehousing & Logistics - Controlling the inventory level at the warehouses and drilling sites located in the Egyptian territories. (Updating receipts and creating delivery notes on SAP). - Tracking the flow of materials from the creation of the purchase order till the receipt of products at the warehouses. - Updating the inventory profile for Egypt plant on SAP software by creating purchase orders, receiving materials, and moving materials to the rig sites or back to the warehouses and finally recording the amounts of the consumed materials at the rigs. - Updating Sales orders to enable finance department to proceed with monthly invoicing.

- Handling business deals made through Letters of Credit and Documentary Collections (import & export) for customers in Ghana, Kenya & Egypt. - Reviewing and checking L/Cs against performa invoice. - Communicating with sales department and the Customers to discuss any amendments needed in the L/C. - Preparing shipping instructions in accordance to the L/C terms and conditions to be sent to shipping lines or forwarders to specify bill of lading contents and markings. - Preparing shipping documents, commercial and customs invoices needed in the L/C to enable the buyer to clear the goods at port of final destination (Commercial invoices, packing lists, beneficiary's certificates, weight lists, customs invoices & certificate of origin). - Presenting the documents requested in the L/C to the correspondent banks in the United Kingdom, Germany& Egypt. - Following up the delivery of goods to customers and tracing the payment of funds into the company’s bank accounts.

- Following up the cargo vessels through its routing worldwide and communicating with the loading ports to collect loading lists for containers to be discharged in Egypt. - Preparing and submitting vessel's discharging lists to the operation department at the ports to discharge the vessels accordingly. - Updating CMA CGM's internal system “LARA Software” with available stock units in transit at Egyptian ports, ready to be shipped to its final destinations.
