Assists nurses and doctors with patient care & answers patient calls (logs of all patient needs). Educates patients on hospital procedures and services such as lunch and bedside help items. Reorganizes storage drawers, closets, discharge documentations for patients and obtains services like food, pillows, wheelchairs, or toiletries for patients. Conversates with patients, establishing rapport to earn trust to be that person they can talk to during vulnerable times. Summer: 14 hours/week for 6 weeks; School Year: 2 hours/week (current).

Guides officers to organize meetings to promote scientific discovery and development throughout school bulletin boards. Manages & leads monthly meetings for over 60 members, giving monthly Google Slide presentations on relevant and current scientific innovation (presentations last 20-30 minutes every meeting).

Plans and leads weekly meetings, collects clothes/food/toiletry drives across Trumbull High School. Establishes community service opportunities within shelters in Danbury, Fairfield, and Bridgeport. Negotiates a partnership with the Bridgeport Islamic Community Center to donate 100+ nonperishables to the Bridgeport Rescue Mission and other Fairfield County shelters.

Gains EMT certification while studying college level Anatomy and Physiology, hands-on 8-hour long skill sessions on Saturdays, 6 hours spent on interactive Zoom lectures (Tues.-Thurs.) for 7 weeks. Develops critical thinking and problem solving skills through homework challenges, projects, and classroom instructions. Completes ride times on weekends (9 hours each) every three weeks through Trumbull EMT while applying EMT training during ride-alongs in real-world scenarios.

Interviewed and logged stories of Alzheimers’ patients, family members, as well as trying to implement new ways to apply the information gathered to harness the power of AI to detect and monitor for early signs of cognitive impairment via vocal biomarkers for Harvard’s current research. Logged information from consistent interviews (done on phone calls with family from Albania & in person for local families I’ve reached out to) for 2 hours/week.

Creates lesson plans three times a week via Zoom meetings in mathematics as a personalized mathematics tutor ranging from grades 4 to 8. Benchmark tests students with self-made assessments catered to grade-appropriate curriculum in preparation for exams. Sessions last for 1 hour every week.

Serves in judging middle school debaters in a wide variety of topics. Directed bi-monthly tournaments by assessing debates and providing constructive feedback based on the skills presented by middle school and high school students.

Cash out orders, organize weekly inventory, and operate a cash register. Youngest worker making baked goods (eggplant dishes, traditional Italian subs/meals, sandwich prep). Provides extra help for 2 hours/3 weeks.

Assist with diagnostic testing by collecting and packaging biological specimens for internal and laboratory analysis. Conducts follow-up calls with patients after their visit to ensure satisfaction with care and reorganizes patient files. Fill syringes with lidocaine (500+/yr) to maximize contributions and productivity. Attends for 10 hours/week for 3 months in the summer; 2 hours/week during the school year.

Creates and designs positive cards for patients at Yale New Haven Health centers. Over 225 cards/yr are made and distributed to centers by students from 5 school districts all throughout Fairfield County (50+ members). Collaboration in progress with Discovery Museum’s (Bridgeport, CT) volunteer program for young student exposure to medicine (cards done by aspiring younger individuals).
